Driving

Many people return to driving after a stroke. Always discuss this with your own doctor. Inform your insurance company and the licensing authority that you had a stroke.

Factors that prevent people from driving after a stroke include seizures, visual problems and cognitive / memory problems.

You may be advised to complete an on-the-road driving assessment. This will help determine your ability to drive safely and what, if any, vehicle adaptations you require.
